If you want to use Datadisc to display and manipulate data that is entirely typed in, then there is no need to calibrate channels for keyboard entry and use the Spacebar recording. The Spreadsheet will allow you to enter the data freely, converting it to Datadisc's own format after you have finished.
Spreadsheet entry
The top two rows are reserved for a name and unit for each column you use. The only restriction on column use is that time values should be typed into the eighth, time, column. (For convenient entry, use channel 7 for the data when entering time as well.) Any kind of numerical data, such as these melting and boiling points of straight chain hydrocarbons can be entered.
The final graph and table
Once you are finished, select Update file from the File menu and Datadisc will display the data.
The resolution value for column 1 has been edited to 1 here so that the numbers are shown without decimals. (Data: Edit calibration.)
