Creep

The wire was held in a clamp and taken over a pulley with masses hung on the end. A Blue Box Position sensor was used to log movement.

Recording was made on Friday 25 May 1996. This graph shows creep of 2m length of copper wire under a 10N load.

Recording type was automatic

The investigation looked at Aluminium and Copper wire.
