For this experiment a Current SensorMeter was used in series with motor and First Sense rotation sensor monitored the motor speed without load.

The graph shows that, as speed increases, the back EMF increases and reduces the current.

Current versus speed for shunt wound motor at 16V (no load) . starting from rest.

Student then investigated speed/ current at different loads.
